FutureSelf Art Workshops for Youth Aged 12-24

FutureSelf has five goals for its programs, in the context of providing a safe space for young people to:

Identify- help youth develop a stronger sense of identity, including identity as an artist.
Belong- nurture an environment where youth feel a sense of acceptance and belonging.
Connect- establishing forums for positive collaborations between youth and the greater community.
Learn- teach art design, production, pricing, marketing, career-building, financial management, and curating. Offer young artists both the tools and the savvy to become professionally successful artists, while instilling in them skills useful in general life endeavors.
Become Self-Sufficient- assist youth in earning money in micro-enterprise through FutureSelf products and services, graduating high school, proceeding to post-secondary education and moving into creative career fields.

Weekend Art and Creativity Workshops

Weekend Workshops are a place for young artists (age 12 to 24) to express themselves through the creative process. Emphasis is on the transformation and understanding of the self, through creating art. A variety of mediums (i.e. textile, printmaking, music, watercolor, writing) are presented on a continuing basis, providing opportunities for exploring a wide breadth of forms of artistic expression. Art and creativity workshops are held on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays, for 6 hours each day.

If you or your child are interested in upcoming workshops, email Register@FutureSelf.org with your contact info, and we will contact you about the next series of FutureSelf workshops in the Colorado Springs area.
